Our Story

We are the Sarhan family: Mark, Katie and Nathan. God has been working in our lives over the years and across the world, drawing us to Him and to each other. We love to share what God has done and what He is continuing to do in our lives, so we invite you to read more about our testimonies.

We met at Tri-City Baptist Church in Chandler, Arizona and were married in 2019. In 2022, God blessed our family with little Nathan, our gift from God.

God began burdening our hearts for missions, and after praying about it and seeking advice from godly mentors in the church, we have taken the step of faith into full-time missions. We are now on deputation, visiting churches across the states to present our ministry and raise support.

Will you partner with us as we seek to serve God in Spain?

About Mark

Mark grew up in Baghdad, Iraq, where he graduated from college in 2010. Due to the war throughout Iraq, Mark’s family left their home and began their journey as refugees. God brought them to Lebanon, where they waited 2 years before the UN sent them to Arizona, USA.

By God’s grace, they were connected with a Bible believing church in Lebanon, even though Mark and his family weren’t Christians. Instead, they were part of the Mandaeism religion (revering John the Baptist). After visiting the church a few times, they stopped going and Mark was convinced it was impossible to follow Jesus. But God drew Mark to Himself, and ultimately Mark went back to the church, got a Bible to read for himself, and accepted Christ as his personal Savior.

In 2012, God opened the door for Mark’s family to move to the state of Arizona, where one of his sisters and her family were living. Right away, they connected with Tri-City Baptist Church in Chandler, Arizona. Mark felt God calling him into ministry, and in May 2022, Mark graduated from International Baptist College and Seminary with a Master of Divinity.

About Katie

Katie grew up in southern Spain, where her family served as missionaries to the Spanish people. She heard the Gospel from a young age, and on Christmas Eve in 1993, she prayed to accept Christ as her Savior.

However, like many children who get saved at an early age, Katie struggled with doubt and uncertainty about her salvation as a teenager. As a 17-year-old, Katie attended a missionary teen retreat in northern Spain where she got assurance of salvation and recommitted her life to Christ.

She attended International Baptist College and Seminary, graduating in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Church Education. Since then, she has worked as a graphic designer and been involved in different church ministries, including children’s ministries, teaching Sunday School, and choir.
