“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2) God’s Word is amazing. We’ve read these verses many times before, but as we pray and prepare to go overseas as missionaries, the reality of being justified freely and completely by God’s grace without any of it depending on us is overwhelming. Jesus is enough! Praise God!

As we drove to Michigan from Utah, we spent some time with Katie’s family in Kansas. It was wonderful to be able to see them after several years. Nathan and Katrina especially enjoyed time with their great uncles and aunt. Family is such a precious gift.

Our meeting with First Baptist Church of Troy, Michigan was such a blessing. One evening while there, we joined several brothers and sisters in Christ from both Iraq and Germany. What an encouraging time! The following week we visited Carleton Community Baptist Church and had a wonderful time with the church family there.

On our drive back home, we took a few days rest to visit the Ark and Creation Museum in Kentucky. It’s such a joy being able to share God with Nathan and Katrina and give them a taste of how faithful and loving God is. Praise the Lord, the rest of the drive back to the West went well.

In Gallup, New Mexico, we spent the weekend with Pastor Kleeberger and Emmanuel Baptist Church sharing the ministry in Spain. It was great to see how God is working in New Mexico and changing lives for His glory.

Over the past two weeks, we’ve been back in Chandler, Arizona. We’ve be able to rest, recharge, refresh, and restock. Today, as I write this letter, we are celebrating Katrina’s 1st birthday. She is such a blessing to our family, brightening up the room, bringing laughter and joy to us. We love seeing how Nathan and Katrina play together and how he tries to help her learn new things.

We have another week before we begin traveling again to Idaho, South Carolina, Utah, and California. Our prayer is to finish our deputation travels by the end of next year. Yet we know our travels are in God’s hands; we continue to prayer for God’s will and wisdom. We covet your prayers during this time in our ministry as well.

Trip to Spain & New Year

God is good. Over the past 7 months of deputation, we have seen time and again the goodness of God. The birth of Katrina, traveling full-time across multiple states, contacting and visiting churches, and our recent survey trip to Spain; God has been faithful, always provided for our needs, and protected us. We have combined our January and February letters to give a full update of all that is happening.

We finished 2024 with Faith Baptist Church/Iglesia Bautista La Fe in Glendale. During our time off traveling in December, Mark spent a few weeks going through The Exchange Bible study with his dad. As you might remember, we’ve been praying for his dad’s salvation, so this was an answer to prayer to go through this Gospel study. After finishing the 4th lesson, Mark’s dad made the decision to place his trust in Jesus Christ only. Praise the Lord!

January began with a meeting with La Iglesia Evangélica Bautista in Phoenix and then a missions conference at Saguaro Hills Baptist Church in East Mesa. Both were a huge blessing to us and encouraged us spiritually to stay faithful to God and His calling every day.

We celebrated Nathan’s 3rd birthday on January 13. He is an energetic and friendly boy, and we pray that God would work in his heart even now to see his need for Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

On January 20, we flew from Arizona to Madrid, Spain for a 10-day survey trip. What a blessing it was! Yes, we had some luggage issues on the way there, but praise the Lord that was the only issue. We enjoyed meeting the Dyserts in person and seeing their ministry in the Madrid area.

After arriving back to Arizona on February 1st, we came down with the flu and are still recovering from jet lag. But it was a good and profitable survey trip, and was a blessing we could go as a family. Both of the kids did a great job through the airports, on the planes, fighting jet lag, and meeting new people. This was another answer to prayer.

In just a few days we begin our full-time traveling again. We’ll be spending about 3 months in California, Arizona, and Nevada. Thank you for your prayers for us and for your upcoming support of us in prayer. If your church would like to schedule a meeting with us, contact us so we can check available days and see how we can be a blessing to your church.
