Michigan and the Ark Encounter

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2) God’s Word is amazing. We’ve read these verses many times before, but as we pray and prepare to go overseas as missionaries, the reality of being justified freely and completely by God’s grace without any of it depending on us is overwhelming. Jesus is enough! Praise God!
As we drove to Michigan from Utah, we spent some time with Katie’s family in Kansas. It was wonderful to be able to see them after several years. Nathan and Katrina especially enjoyed time with their great uncles and aunt. Family is such a precious gift.
Our meeting with First Baptist Church of Troy, Michigan was such a blessing. One evening while there, we joined several brothers and sisters in Christ from both Iraq and Germany. What an encouraging time! The following week we visited Carleton Community Baptist Church and had a wonderful time with the church family there.
On our drive back home, we took a few days rest to visit the Ark and Creation Museum in Kentucky. It’s such a joy being able to share God with Nathan and Katrina and give them a taste of how faithful and loving God is. Praise the Lord, the rest of the drive back to the West went well.
In Gallup, New Mexico, we spent the weekend with Pastor Kleeberger and Emmanuel Baptist Church sharing the ministry in Spain. It was great to see how God is working in New Mexico and changing lives for His glory.
Over the past two weeks, we’ve been back in Chandler, Arizona. We’ve be able to rest, recharge, refresh, and restock. Today, as I write this letter, we are celebrating Katrina’s 1st birthday. She is such a blessing to our family, brightening up the room, bringing laughter and joy to us. We love seeing how Nathan and Katrina play together and how he tries to help her learn new things.
We have another week before we begin traveling again to Idaho, South Carolina, Utah, and California. Our prayer is to finish our deputation travels by the end of next year. Yet we know our travels are in God’s hands; we continue to prayer for God’s will and wisdom. We covet your prayers during this time in our ministry as well.
